A Darkening in the North
Adamki is a beautiful town of about two thousand humans, elves and half-elves, built centuries ago during the height of the Nerath empire. Nestled beneath the jagged slopes of the Moonsfall beside a surging waterfall, the walled citadel of Adamki holds together the last vestiges of civilization in this increasingly wild and dangerous borderland.
Once the center of a wide-ranging culture of forest villages, nomadic hunting tribes, and isolated mining towns dotting the lands of the Moonsfall, Adamki is now an isolated border town, able to hold its own against increasingly bold hobgoblin attackers, and worse, by the strength of its walls.
Adamki remains central to the area as a trading hub despite its increasing isolation, and its once-famed Moonboats (riverboats drawn by teams of trained dire pike) still offer the fastest means to move goods northward through the frigid and fast-flowing rivers of the Moonsfall to the north, though each year finds fewer and fewer captains willing to ply the routes.
